For Audra, drawing and painting have always been a part of her life, loving subjects of all kinds: nature, plein air, animals, portraits, still life, interiors and architecture, cartoons and caricatures. She has degrees in Interior Design and Film Directing which led to doing storyboards. She worked as a storyboard artist in Los Angeles for 14 years, doing television and commercials. At the same time she had a dream to sell her art directly to people. She opened an Etsy shop with a play on her name called Awwdraws and started doing cartoon-y characters inspired by Mary Blair and other film and cartoon concept artists, contemporary and past. As her shop grew, she eventually transitioned to doing her own art full time. Currently, she resides in Portland, OR with her husband, Randy and their cat.
