Kathy Wilburn lives in Oregon with her husband, photographer Dale Moreau, three cats, two bunnies, and an abundance of wildlife visitors to their garden sanctuary.
She started drawing pictures for her stories as a small child, using family members for her characters.
Kathy began her career as an artist at Hallmark Cards. She left to write and illustrate for children, and her numerous books have been printed internationally by notable publishing houses. To her classically styled work she brings warmth, humor, and discipline.
Her love of nature inspires her and is reflected in her work. She is a life long advocate of compassion for all living beings, and the environmental health and protection of our planet.
Favorite things: hiking, cryptograms, board puzzles, any kind of problem solving, films, dining at vineyards in the beautiful Willamette Valley.
